Guidelines

Worked with brand and design leads to craft a first-ever UX writing guideline for Wall Street Journal digital products

Brand Alignment

Met with editorial leads to ensure alignment with the Wall Street Journal brand promise and institutional credibility

News media | 2020

Working closely with The Wall Street Journal Design Team, and with input from stakeholders in the Brand, Optimization and Content departments of the publication, I created a first-ever UX Writing Guide for WSJ digital products. It covers contemporary UX writing best practices while establishing unique, brand-driven UX writing principles to guide WSJ product language across all platforms.

The detailed guide also breaks down examples of do's and don'ts for elements like empty states, error messages, form fields, headers, instructions and more -- all of which are carefully crafted to reinforce the WSJ brand and objectives as they help users experience WSJ's products with greater ease and engagement.
